I take tried clearing the cache only this is not the solution. The problem has appeared very recently and happens in the aforementioned way when I use different machines and unlike browsers.

Obviously the connections that are added between Hotmail and other sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin are creates a strain on the contacts database. You have to remove those connections for thing to get back to normal.
